A Quiet Place Has 2nd Biggest Domestic Opening of 2018
A Quiet Place had a fantastic opening weekend at the domestic box office, surpassing expectations with an estimated $50 million debut.
The critically-acclaimed horror film, directed by John Krasinski, not only placed first at the North American box office this weekend, it had the second biggest domestic debut of 2018. Black Panther is this year’s current leader with $202 million.
A Quiet Place, which stars Krasinski and Emily Blunt, received a B+ CinemaScore from moviegoers. Given the film’s reported $17 million production budget, Paramount is undoubtedly pleased with how the film has performs thus far.
