The X-Men Are ‘Gone’ in New Series The Gifted

Marvel and Fox’s mutants continue their invasion of television. First there was the FX series Legion, and now coming to FOX in September is The Gifted, a new show which ties into the X-Men world… and which bamfed into San Diego Comic-Con today!

The pilot episode was directed by Bryan Singer, helmer of the first and several subsequent X-Men movies, and was written by Matt Nix. Nix, Lauren Shuler Donner, Jeph Loeb is an executive producer, and the series stars Stephen Moyer (Reed Strucker), Amy Acker (Kate Strucker), Sean Teale (Eclipse), Jamie Chung (Blink), Coby Bell (Jace), Emma Dumont (Lorna/Polaris), Blair Redford (Thunderbird), Natalie Alyn Lind (Lauren), and Percy Hynes White (Andy) in the tale of a family that must go on the run when they realize their children have mutant abilities.
